A walking school bus is a group of students who walk together along a predetermined route to school with guidance and supervision from adults. Similarly, a bike bus, also known as a bike train or convoy is the same concept, but with bikes. Often, walking/bike buses will have multiple stops along the route for students to join the bus.

- All K-12 students in Lane County can get a free Lane Transit District bus pass, using either the Umo Mobility App or a physical tap card.
- Passes are issued to students through their school and are valid from September 1st of the current school year to September 30th of the following year.
