Our schools can now receive federal funds to support and expand health services to our students, on-site at school. Opting-in to Medicaid billing is safe, easy, and will help Bethel students thrive.
How will Medicaid Billing Bring Federal Funds to Bethel Schools?
Bethel will request permission from parents or guardians to confidentially share limited information about their child with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), if their student is enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). Information includes a Bethel provider’s name (such as a Speech Language Therapist), type of services provided, the date(s) of services, student name, date of birth, attendance records, and State Student Identification Number. This information is sent through secure transmission that ensures student privacy.
Once a parent provides consent, Bethel will submit claims to OHA for services provided to OHP-enrolled students. Bethel will use the reimbursed federal funds to support student services.
This process protects parents and students’ rights:
Questions?
Contact your student's IEP coordinator with questions about their IEP and to give your written Consent for Bethel to share information with OHA about services provided to your child.
