WHS Updates on Chromebooks, Schedules, and Family Orientation

Chromebook distribution continues by drive-through at Willamette High School through Thursday, September 3rd. K-12 Bethel student still needing a device for Comprehensive Distance Learning can get one in the north parking lot between 12pm and 7pm, using the Dove Lane driveway by Powers Auditorium for access. After that date, individual pickups will happen by appointment only. Student accounts will be activated soon, allowing for login and access to Google Apps, and the username and password information will be distributed at the time of device pickup.

As for Schedules and the start of classes, here are a few recaps:

  • We will start the school year in an online Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) environment. General details about the daily schedule are linked below.
  • Student schedules are being run and revised in an ongoing process. While our September 7th goal is an optimistic projection, we are working around the clock to ensure student schedules are available next week.
  • Students will begin their Term 1 classes on Monday, September 14th. For more info on schedules, click here

Finally, we invite all of our Willamette families to attend a virtual orientation next Tuesday evening, September 8th, from 4-5pm at this Zoom link. By computer, phone, or other web-browsing device, you will see and hear information about the upcoming school year from Principal Dan Hedberg and other Bethel leaders. Get information on the new academic calendar, what a students day and week will look like in Comprehensive Distance Learning, and more. We hope to see you on the 8th!
