MV Electronic Recycling Competition!

This March/April Meadow View is participating in an electronic recycling competition. The school that recycles the most pounds of “e-waste” wins! NextStep will accept anything that has a plug, or takes batteries including: old working or broken electronics (e.g. toys, cell phones, monitors, computers, phones, cables, etc.).

  1. Drop off donations directly at Meadow View School between April 4th and 8th. For one week in April our school will have a collection box located onsite (ask office for info).
  2. Donate directly at NextStep during the months of March/April. When electronics are dropped off, NextStep will add the donation to the school’s total (by weight). NextStep is located at 245 Jackson St., Eugene. They are open Mon. thru Fri. 8:30am to 2:00pm.

(*1st prize: a NextStep robot [made by a local artist]; $500 gift certificate for the NextStep Reuse computer store!! 2nd/3rd prizes prizes too!)

Together we can help to divert electronic devices from our landfill, and keep reusable electronics available to our community.
