MV update

Meadow View Update

Hey Meadow View Families!

Can you believe it is already the middle of October? We can’t either. Where did the time go? We are having so much fun learning. We’ve made pesto, salsa and smoothies in our culinary elective (gr. 6-8), built roller coasters while practicing Newton’s laws in 8th grade Science, gathered eggs and planted seeds at the Bethel Farm (gr. 3), played math games to build fluency (gr. 2-5), rocked out in guitar class (gr. 7-8), learned about Indigenous People’s Day, practiced early literacy skills (K-2), made self-portraits and identity art (K-8), played badminton in PE and made historical timelines to represent important inventions and personal milestones (gr. 7-8). Wow, we’ve been busy!

In addition to academic learning, we’ve also been intentional about creating a sense of belonging and strengthening our MV community. Our MV team works hard to continually build up our students by encouraging and acknowledging their efforts. We’ve also tried to learn about students’ interests and honor their lived experiences. We will continue to center around the health and wellbeing of our students.

Thank you for partnering with us. We are forever grateful for our Meadow View community.

Safety Week

This week was Safety Week here at Meadow View! Staff and students practiced a lockdown drill, earthquake drill and a directed evacuation. The state requires schools to practice safety drills throughout the year. These are rehearsals that we hope to never have to implement. However, we practice our drills to make sure everyone knows what to do in the event of an emergency. For more information about school safety in Bethel please visit the Bethel School Safety website HERE.

Picture Day Update

We are still working on scheduling a picture day that will allow us to continue with our health and safety protocols. We hope to have dates  for you very soon. Stay tuned, Meadow View!

Middle School Interim Progress Reports are Coming Up

Progress reports for students in grades 6-8 will be sent home next week. You can keep up with your child’s assignments and check for turned in work via Home Access Center. Please connect with your child’s Homeroom teacher if you are unsure of how to access your child’s grades on Home Access Center.
