Bethel School District will be posting flags for each of the 574 Federally Recognized Tribal Nations in the United States in front of the Bethel District office on the morning of Oct. 9 – Indigenous Peoples’ Day. This third annual event was created by the Bethel Native Parent Committee, which supports and advocates for Native students and families in Bethel School District.
Beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, Bethel staff, families and community members gather to place the Tribal flags in the ground and honor the past, present, and future of Native peoples across the country. Please join us!
Students, staff and community members are also invited to help remove the flags at 5:30 p.m. on the same day, or take a field trip over to the district office to see the flags.

El Distrito Escolar de Bethel colocará banderas de cada una de las 574 Naciones Tribales Federalmente Reconocidas en los Estados Unidos frente a la oficina del Distrito de Bethel en la mañana del 9 de octubre – Día de los Pueblos Indígenas. Este tercer evento anual fue creado por el Comité de Padres Nativos Americanos de Bethel, que apoya y aboga por los estudiantes nativos y las familias en el Distrito Escolar de Bethel.
A partir de las 6:30 a.m. del lunes 9 de octubre, el personal de Bethel, las familias y los miembros de la comunidad se reunirán para colocar las banderas tribales en el suelo y honrar el pasado, presente y futuro de los pueblos nativos de todo el país. ¡Por favor, acompañenos!
Los estudiantes, el personal y los miembros de la comunidad también están invitados a ayudar a retirar las banderas a las 5:30 p.m. del mismo día, o a pasar por la oficina del distrito para ver las banderas.
