The Bethel School District has launched an online community survey to gather Bethel family, community feedback

We want your feedback graphic in green and grey

The Bethel District is seeking input from all Bethel families and community members through an online survey as part of its strategic planning process. All Bethel families and community members are invited to complete the survey, which will help guide the district’s work in the years to come.

A comprehensive strategic planning process is currently underway in the Bethel School District to identify district priorities and develop a strategic plan that will guide the district’s work in the years to come. Ultimately, this process will help the district prioritize resources to provide an equitable, well-rounded, K-12 educational experience for all students. Community input is critical to this work.

November Update: Bethel’s Strategic Planning Process

Exciting efforts are currently underway in the Bethel District as we work to identify district priorities and come up with a strategic plan. When finished, this plan will help to guide Bethel’s work for years to come.

As a part of the strategic visioning process, Bethel leadership is engaging with a diverse representation of staff, students and families from each school and department through focus groups, surveys and one-on-one conversations.

Much of the feedback we’ve gathered so far has come in the form of focus groups, which help us to better learn and understand the lived experience of Bethel staff, students and families. The more information we gather from our community of students, staff and families, the better we can elevate their voices and determine a plan that accurately represents those groups.

We’re more than halfway through the information-gathering portion of the process, and we’re eager to dig into the data! All of the information gathered will be evaluated by an outside team, as well as an internal steering committee, which will ultimately make recommendations to the Bethel School Board and Superintendent for what themes we should include in the plan.

Stay tuned for more as we make our way through this exciting process.

09/1/2022

This year, Bethel School District is working with important community partners to identify district priorities and develop a strategic plan that will guide Bethel’s work in the years ahead. This strategic planning process will help the district prioritize resources to provide an equitable, well-rounded, K-12 educational experience for all students. Your input is critical to this work.

How we will collect your input:

  • Staff, student and community surveys, 1:1 interviews with students, staff, and parents/guardians
  • School-based focus groups

We need to know:

  • Why Bethel? What keeps you here?
  • What stays, what goes, and what grows?
  • What do you see as the top issues facing students and schools today?
  • What are your hopes for Bethel students?

And then the Plan:

  • We will collect feedback and then create a shared vision moving forward that centers student voice and experience. The final strategic plan will reflect the collective priorities of the Bethel community by creating a district vision, outlining important goals, goals and identifying steps for taking action.

Bethel’s strategic plan will establish:

  • Who we are as a school district
  • Where we are going as a community
  • What we could become together
  • What actions we will take
  • How we will monitor progress and adjust as needed

It’s Happening Now:

  • Bethel is in the process of forming an Engagement Committee to help gather community input and a Steering Committee to help make sense of the collected feedback and identify key themes heard across the district.
  • Keep an eye out for community listening sessions and a community survey coming in November!
