Hello Clear Lake Families,

As we reopen our school to Hybrid instruction, student health and safety is our highest priority. We need to work together to ensure that all our students enter and exit the building safely while also following our Covid-19 Health Protocols. Please read all of the following directions carefully. Also, if you missed it from earlier posts, watch this short video about the Health and Safety protocols we have in place at Clear Lake. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these new guidelines together.

Hybrid School Hours – School hours for hybrid are 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Doors open and supervision begins at 8:30. Please do not send students before 8:30 AM.

Breakfast & Lunches – All students will be provided with a free breakfast and lunch, which they will eat in their classrooms. Students will eat meals at their desks and are allowed to remove their masks while eating.

Classroom Set-Up – Students will be spaced 6-feet apart and all students will have their own individual desk and chair. Students will not share supplies and school supplies will be provided for each student.

School Supplies – Clear Lake is providing all students with basic supplies, but families may also want to send students with extra masks (we hear they can get quite wet by the end of the day). We are providing all students with a free Clear Lake water bottle and one bear logo mask on the first day of hybrid instruction.

Recess – Students will have two 15 minute recesses each day with their cohort group. Students will be allowed to play all the usual playground games, minus those where students would come within 6-feet of one another. Masks will continue to be worn at all times.

Health Rooms – If a student does become sick, they will be escorted to the office. We have two designated rooms for students showing signs of illness to wait until their family is able to pick them up.

Daily Cleaning – Staff will sanitize desks after each meal. Custodial staff will clean high frequency touch points throughout the day. Classroom desks and surfaces will be wiped frequently and cleaned at the end of the day. The building will have a deep clean every Wednesday between cohorts.

Masks – All people, both students and adults, MUST wear masks at all times while on school property. The only time students may remove their masks is during mealtimes.

Transportation – First Student will notify families about bus schedules.

Visitors & Volunteers – Only students and staff are allowed inside the building at this time.
