New School Hours For Next Year
Dear Clear Lake families,
I’m reaching out with some information about changes to our bell schedule for next school year. Beginning next fall, school will begin at 8:25 a.m. and release at 2:30 p.m.
Several schools across the district will be adjusting their bell schedules for next school year to better accommodate transportation challenges. Buses were significantly delayed several times this school year due to staffing shortages and tight busing schedules. We anticipate that this bus driver shortage will continue (to an extent) next school year.
Moving forward, this new bell schedule will allow for more staggered bus pickup and drop-off times, which will hopefully alleviate bus on-time issues. This change will not affect student learning time in any way.
We recognize that changes to school schedules can sometimes create challenges for our families. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have about this change.

Me estoy comunicando con información sobre los cambios en nuestro horario de clases para el próximo año escolar. A partir del próximo otoño, la escuela comenzará a las 8:25 a.m. y se terminará a las 2:30 p.m.
Varias escuelas en todo el distrito ajustarán sus horarios de clases para el próximo año escolar para adaptarse mejor a los desafíos de transporte. Los autobuses se retrasaron significativamente varias veces este año escolar debido a la escasez de personal y los horarios ajustados de autobuses. Anticipamos que esta escasez de conductores de autobuses continuará (hasta cierto punto) el próximo año escolar.

Early Arrivals
As a reminder, for the remainder of this school year, we do not have supervision outside before 8:40 AM. Please ensure that your student is not arriving at Clear Lake before this time each day. If students are arriving early families will be contacted. Please help us keep our students safe.
Playground Construction Delay
Prior to spring break, we provided families with some information about covered playgrounds that will soon be constructed at several Bethel schools, including Clear Lake.
We’re disappointed to say that the dreaded supply chain issue will impact the construction of a covered play area at Clear Lake. The wait time to get steel has stretched to five months, meaning work on our covered play structure will be delayed and take place this fall rather than this summer. We are counting on the project to be completed in time for the rainy season so our students can play outside even during wet weather.
We’ll keep families updated with more information as we receive it.
Coco the Bear Continues to Visit Classes
