About the Program

  • The program is designed to provide a boost to children’s literacy, self-regulation, and social skills prior to entering kindergarten.

  • The school readiness groups are structured like a kindergarten class. Children attend 3 sessions per week starting June 27th. The program will finish the week of August 17th.

  • Families attend workshops weekly. This will focus on ways to increase early literacy skills at home, preparing children for the transition to school by establishing routines; how to initiate home-school communication and school involvement; and how to encourage children’s positive behaviors at home and school.
