Calling all Kindergarten Students!

Kindergarten Pre-Registration for all Bethel Schools will be held on Wednesday, March 9th.

Danebo will hold two informational ZOOM sessions, one at 3:30 and one at 6:00. ZOOM links for all schools are located HERE. Families only need to attend one of the sessions.

If you know of anyone with children who will be 5 on or before September 1st, please encourage them to attend one of our meetings.

We are looking forward to meeting the students who will be the high school graduating class of 2035!

Outdoor School for 5th Grade

This year, our 5th grade students will have the opportunity to attend outdoor school at Camp Wilani. It will be a two day program and the dates for Danebo students are April 28 & 29.

Please join us for a parent information ZOOM meeting on Tuesday, March 8th at 5:00.

HERE is the flier that was sent home with students last week. The ZOOM link is on the flier.

Celebrating our Amazing Classified Staff

Please join us as we celebrate our amazing support staff at Danebo this week, March 7-11.
Our Classified Staff support students by providing small group instruction, supervising students on the playground and cafeteria, assisting families in the office and health room, feeding our students, and ensuring that our building is clean each day.

Danebo Classified Staff have such a positive impact on our students and we are SO fortunate to have them in our building.

Thanks for joining us in celebrating and honoring them this week.

Assistance League Food Pantry

The Assistance League of Eugene continues to support our Danebo students and families two times each month by providing non-perishable food bags. Food pantry dates for this month are Wednesday, March 2 and Wednesday, March 16.

Unfortunately, local stores are struggling with the size of the orders that the ALE requests and they may have to substitute items and/or we may receive fewer bags.

Bags are distributed at the end of the school day and are handed out on a first come, first served basis. If you are in need of a bag for the next distribution, please call the school office (541-6888735) and we will hold one for you.

Please join me in thanking the Assistance League of Eugene for providing whatever they can to support our Danebo Community.

Other Food Pantry Opportunities

Food for Lane County is sponsoring a new mobile pop-up food pantry in the Bethel area beginning on Thursday, January 20. The pantry will be open to all Bethel community members from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Thursday in the back Shasta parking lot near the baseball fields.

Items that will be available for pickup include fresh produce, eggs and non-perishable items. The Bethel District also has two other Food for Lane County pantries specifically for Bethel students and families located within Cascade Middle School and Willamette High School. The Cascade pantry takes place every other week and has fresh produce and non-perishable items. The Willamette High pantry is for emergency needs and typically only has non-perishable items.

Fresh produce and non-perishable items are also available from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Bethel Farmbehind Prairie Mountain School, access via Patriot Way. Be sure to park in the Farm’s gravel parking area.
Families who would like more information about the school-based pantries should contact the individual schools.
