Mission: The Bethel Family Resource Center supports healthy, strong families, school readiness, and positive school-home connections through supports for parents and caregivers, pre-school programs and family fun!
The Bethel FRC is a Bethel School District program and is funded by United Way, Bethel School District and small grants and partnerships in the community.
Parents and caregivers of young children are our first and most important teachers. Our programs promote healthy attachments between little’s and their grown-ups, support healthy social, emotional and intellectual development for children, and provide opportunities for everyone to learn and practice new skills.
Fall 2021: We are excited to reopen our drop-in center when school re-opens in the fall. We have lots of new experiences, toys and updates in our space. We have also added a lending library, with books to read with children and books for parents and caregivers.
People, just like all of the other animals, learn through play!
Come and build a brain while having fun and making connections.
September 27th through May 26th, 2021
Join us in our newly updated space for open play and caregiver support!
Bring your littles 0-5 to explore play stations, build social skills interacting with other children, and connect with other families and adults providing care.
Join us Tuesdays from 10-12 for a project based experience for little’s 0-5. We will paint, mix stuff, make goo, explore different science and design based challenges that build little brains and lots of skills.
Join us Thursdays from 10-12 for our bilingual story-time program. We start right at 10:00 with stories, songs and circle activities for children 0-5. We will read, play and practice “school” routines (lining up to wash hands, snack, and following directions. Parents and Caregivers will learn more about how to use books and other language activities to support their child’s early learning. And we have a lot of fun!
Every month at the Family Resource Center we host a Family Activity Night for families with children 2-8. We offer science and literacy programs on the last “School Thursday” of every month from 6:00-7:30pm. While these programs are drop-in, we start at 6:00! Come and explore experiments, design challenges and fun ways to celebrate reading. Check our calendar for exciting monthly offerings.
