Willamette High School Entertains!

Willamette High School has many opportunities coming up that feature our talented students. You won’t want to miss out. 

November 15-17: My Very Own Story is a play about three storytellers who are booked for the same storytelling gig. Through a series of games and tricks, each person not only gets to tell their story but also gets to appear in a story. Showtime is at 7pm in Powers Auditorium. $4 for students and Bethel staff (show ID) and $6 general admission. 

November 20: Jazz Night @ Roaring Rapids Pizza (4006 Franklin Blvd, Eugene, OR). Come enjoy the sounds of one of Oregon’s best high school jazz programs in a family friendly environment set on the scenic Willamette River. 50% of all sales after 6pm benefit WHS bands! 

December 4: Choir Concert featuring all four choirs performing repertoire from various time periods and styles. The choir will perform the work of a local composer, Paul John Rudoi, who has worked with students on his piece called Gamaya, which is a mantra for peace that is sung in Sanskrit. The concert will be at 6:30 in Powers Auditorium. FREE!

December 6: WHS DECA Talent Show will showcase a variety of acts including vocals, instrumental and dance, as well as other student talents. DECA is an international association that prepares students that are emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance hospitality and management. Doors open at 5:30, showtime is at 6:00 in Powers Auditorium.  Tickets are $5 at the door (all ticket sales benefit WHS DECA). Children ages 5 and under are free.

December 13: Winter Band Concert featuring performances by over 150 students in the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. They will perform classic and contemporary concert band works. Students will be drawing a raffle ticket for a $500 Amazon gift card (all ticket sales benefit WHS bands and choirs). Performance will be 6:30-7:45 in Powers Auditorium. FREE!
