Student Safety Alert

The Eugene Police Department asked that we share the following information about an event that took place Tuesday afternoon.

A man in a white SUV allegedly tried to kidnap a young woman who was on foot near Everyone’s Market on Echo Hollow Road. The young woman – who is not a student – managed to escape and is safe and unharmed, but police want everyone to be aware of their surroundings and keep an eye out for a white GMC Yukon with tinted windows.

Although this did not take place in Shasta’s immediate neighborhood, police are asking that everyone be especially alert.

Outstanding Vocal Soloist Awards

Shasta Jazz Choir students Mariya D., Da’Mauryay W., and  Sarah P.  received Outstanding Vocal Solo Awards for their efforts at the Clackamas Vocal Jazz Festival last month.  All our students did a fantastic job, as the Session Choir also came home from the festival with a 2nd place trophy!
