International Walk to School Day – October 4th

October 4th is International Walk to School Day. To celebrate, schools across Oregon are holding Walk+Roll events that challenge students, families and educators to walk, bike or scoot to school. Last year, 265 Oregon schools participated. We have at least six Bethel Schools participating this year. These challenges are a great reminder of the benefits of active transportation. Try ditching the car on October 4th and celebrate your health, the environment, and school spirit. Live too far to bike or walk to school? Try parking the family car a few blocks from school and walking the rest of the way. You can even participate by walking to and from your school bus stop.
