Student Safety Alert

We are sharing the following information at the recommendation of Eugene Police.

Around 12:30, Tuesday April 4th, a man in a white SUV allegedly tried to kidnap a young woman who was on foot near Everyone’s Market on Echo Hollow Road.

The young woman – who is not a student – managed to escape and is safe and unharmed, but police want everyone to be aware of their surroundings and keep an eye out for a white GMC Yukon with tinted windows.

Again, no one was harmed, but students are asked to be especially aware of their surroundings

We had so much fun last week enjoying the Talent Show on Tuesday and Bingo Night on Thursday!  We greatly appreciate all the help of our staff volunteers who put together the Talent Show and to all the students who participated in presenting their talent that evening.  You were brilliant!

Thank you as well to our staff volunteers and parent volunteers as well as our 8th grade students who helped in numerous ways at our Bingo Night.   Our school community raised funds for the end-of-year 8th grade Celebration and 8th grade Trip.  Thank you!

Our PTO is conducting a fundraiser in March for overall school programs K-8 and are seeking to identify one Classroom Champion in each homeroom who can help distribute information and organize orders from students.  Please contact Shanna Bitikofer at or PTO President Jennifer Hartley, at or visit their website to find out more about how you can participate.

Here are some important opportunities and dates at Prairie Mountain:  Continue reading
