Keep the Carpool Lane Rolling

Thank you to all families who are using our carpool lane.  Please review these important reminders regarding the the carpool lane:

  • Please remember that our carpool lane is for drivers transporting students from their own family along with students from other families. If you are only transporting your own children, please do not use the carpool lane.
  • Please do not use the carpool lane before school; our carpool lane runs after school only
  • Please stay in your vehicle and wait for  your students to come to you. Never leave your vehicle.
  • If you need a carpool card for your vehicle, cards are available in the office.  You will need to provide the make and model of your vehicle as well as names of all the students you transport.

Thank you for your cooperation, and let’s keep that afternoon traffic rolling along!

Over the summer a team of volunteers came to Prairie Mountain and worked on an exciting initiative to spread good vibes and positive messaging to our students.  Over 15 volunteers including Prairie Mountain teachers, administration, educational assistants, members from Westside Faith Center, and community members, came together to bring positivity to our campus within our bathrooms.  Phase 1 of this project included dismantling the bathroom stalls, prepping, cleaning, sanding the stall doors and outer door frames, and priming and painting everything!  Phase 2 included scraping the paint that bled through the tape, touching up, and applying the beautiful vinyl lettering and decorations.  Phase 3 was the application of the sealer. The project took many days, and a lot of work, sweat and cheers.  I can’t thank the group of volunteers enough for their time and positive spirit.  Their volunteerism showed the devotion that our community has for our children and their commitment to Prairie Mountain.  I would also like to send a special thank you to Forrest Paint for their generous donation of paint, supplies, and advice. Everything from the rollers, to the commercial sprayer was donated by Forrest Paint.  They have been such a great partner to us.  Thank you!!!

The little things matter in this life and I believe that everything that we can do to show our students that they matter, that they are loved, and that we see them for who they are, should be done. I am so proud to be an EAGLE!
