February brings Friendship, Food, and Fun to Prairie Mountain

espaňol

We’re looking forward to activities in the month of February that help our students thrive and focus on our life skills of Problem-solving, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy (PRIDE).

Love Your Neighbor Food Drive:  Prairie Mountain students in K-8 are joining Food for Lane County’s efforts to collect food for our community.  The food drive running Feb. 1-16 at PM presents a great opportunity to focus on empathy and community building, and for K-5 classrooms to highlight CATCH concepts of Go, Slow, and Whoa foods as they consider recommendations from Food for Lane County about nutritious foods.  Students K-8 can participate in a number of ways (contributing, promoting, sorting, counting, organizing) in this school wide effort to help our community.  Let’s go, Eagles!
