We are excited to announce that enrollment for next year’s kindergarten students is underway! We are delighted to welcome families to Prairie Mountain as we look forward to having your child with us in the coming year. Children who will be five years old on or before 9/1/2017 may now enroll for kindergarten. You may pick up a packet in our office, or complete enrollment online.
If you missed our kindergarten orientation night, we invite you to attend a school tour Thursday, February 16th from 10:00-10:30. Principal Carey Killen will lead this informational tour. Mrs. Killen is ready to welcome you and answer all of your questions. Please call our office (541-607-9849) if you plan to attend.

Open Enrollment is a school choice option for students who seek a transfer for the coming school year. Please be aware that Open Enrollment applications are only accepted through 3/31/2017.
Families with a student who will be entering kindergarten in the fall are invited and encouraged to attend our kindergarten open house Thursday, February 9th. We are offering two sessions, from 2:45-3:45 and again from 6:00-7:00. You are welcome to attend either session.
Kindergarten Open House is an opportunity for you to meet Prairie Mountain administrative staff and kindergarten staff, as well as learn more about what a typical kindergarten day looks like. Additionally, you will be able to complete pre-registration paperwork, which will greatly streamline the time you spend enrolling your student at all-school registration in August. To thank your for attending, we have a free book for you to share with you child.
New to Prairie Mountain? Tours of our school are offered February 7th or February 16th from 10:00-10:30. Please call our office to let us know which tour you would like to attend. 541-607-9849

Happy 2017 to all! It has been an unusual start to the New Year given the interesting weather, and we are excited to have students and families back in the building.
I’d like to recognize our Prairie Mountain Band students and their director Casey Crane for their wonderful performance in the Winter Concert in December. Thank you for sharing your music with us!
And, we’d like to acknowledge the vital work of our Prairie Mountain custodial staff and our Bethel facilities and maintenance personnel who devoted hours in December and January to addressing weather-related issues around our building and school grounds. Special thanks also goes to our head secretary Krista Larson who helped tremendously on inclement weather days in our front office. Thanks for all you do to help our school!
As you may imagine, our January calendar is changing quite a bit. We will be working quickly to get updated information out to families, so please stay tuned.
