Prairie Mountain Welcomes Christy Gill / Prairie Mountain da la bienvenida a Christy Gill

New Assistant Principal, Christy Gill

Dear Prairie Mountain community,

It is a pleasure to announce to you that Christy Gill has been selected as Prairie Mountain’s new assistant principal.  Christy comes to us with 21 years of experience in education in several different roles: elementary teacher, middle school ELA teacher, reading specialist, facilitating teacher, TOSA (teacher on special assignment) and administrator.  Christy has been in Bethel for 12 years, making connections at each school while serving in her district-level roles.  Christy has spent a lot of time this year at Prairie Mountain. At the beginning of the year, she filled in as our Title Coordinator and continued working with our team throughout this year on program organization, curriculum implementation, engagement strategies, classroom management, etc.  When talking to Christy, she is thrilled to be with us and can’t wait to start next year on the Mountain.

Christy stated, “I am very excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Prairie Mountain School. My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped by my 21 years serving students, families, and school staff as a classroom teacher, a reading specialist, a teacher on special assignment, and administrator. I am really thrilled to mark my 13th year in Bethel School District as a Prairie Mountain Eagle! In my career here in Bethel, I have had opportunities to be involved with Prairie Mountain’s students and staff so I feel very connected to this warm and welcoming school community. It’s an honor for me to be at the Mountain!

In my career as an educator, I have always focused on and truly believed in the positive impact we can have on students and I know it takes a village to do this. I am so happy to be part of the Prairie Mountain village and am really looking forward to getting to know families and students this fall!”

Please join with me in sending a big Prairie Mountain welcome to Christy Gill.

Thanks again,
