Busy Days Ahead

Dear Prairie Mountain Families,

We’re excited that March is here and Spring is just around the corner.  The week ahead brings lots of learning and fun to Prairie Mountain.  Read below for a few upcoming events:

PTO’s Monster Dough Cookie Fundraiser:  The fundraiser will kick off this Tuesday, March 6th as order forms go home to families. All cookie dough orders & payment will be due back to school on Tuesday, March 20th, and delivery/Pick-up of Cookie Dough will be on Thursday, April 5th.  Anyone interested in helping with the fundraiser please email the PTO at prairiemountainpto@gmail.com.

8th Grade Forecasting:   Counselors from Willamette High School will visit Prairie Mountain classes this Thursday, March 8 to assist students with completing the forecasting process as the select classes for their freshman year at WHS.  Thank you for talking at home about course selection and high school success so they can complete the forecasting process on Thursday.

K-8 Bingo Night:   Plan to join us on Thursday, March 8 from 6:30-8:00 for our annual BINGO NIGHT for all K-8 families. The evening serves as a fundraiser for our 8th grade students’ end-of-year trip and celebration and is a favorite each year!

K-5 PRIDE Assembly:   We’re looking forward to recognizing elementary students for demonstrating our school’s life skills of Problem-solving, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy this Friday, March 9th and kicking off March’s Kindness Challenge.

The week ahead holds excursions in 2nd grade and 7th grade as well as a visit from Oregon’s Kid Governor speaking on his anti-bullying platform for our 4th and 5th grade students.  We so enjoy working with your children every day!  It’s a true privilege to involve them in great learning opportunities and see them grow.
