December Greetings from our Principal

Dear Prairie Mountain community,

Last Tuesday night we had our third PTO meeting of the year.  I believe it was filled with important information, acknowledgement, and of course moments of appreciation.  Thank you to all of you who have stepped-up to become Project Leaders, and thank you to all who have volunteered.  I would like to send out a special thank you to Amy Davis and her Monster Cookie Dough team and Ingrit Swanson for preparing the most amazing meal for our teachers during conferences.  Because of folks like them, and you, our school is off to a great start.  Please make plans to come to our next PTO meeting which is on Jan. 8th from 5:30-6:30.  Things are more fun with friends, so please bring another parent/guardian/family member of a Prairie Mountain student with you. PTO meeting attendee names will go into the drawing for a staff appreciation gift donated by Real Deals.

In Gratitude,

RW

Principal’s Update

I would just like to take a bit of time to thank our amazing PTO for their remarkable work on our Harvest Carnival.  This year’s carnival was filled with wonderful moments of students and their families playing games and making memories together.  We would like to send out a special thank you to Nick Johnson and Alysia Jessee for their amazing work in being our Harvest Carnival Project Leaders this year.  They came in positive, they took charge, and did a great job!  I would also like to give a shout out to Becky and Adam Melott, Chelsey and Brad Warner, PM staff members, and so many more.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for all that you did to make the carnival a hit.

I am also very excited to say that Prairie Mountain’s PTO has partnered with a local home décor company, Real Deals.  At each PTO meeting this year, attendees of the meeting will go into a drawing.  If their name is drawn they will get to choose a Prairie Mountain staff member to receive a gift that Real Deals has donated.

Please come to our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, November 13th from 5:30-6:30 in our caforium.  Reach out to other parents/guardians and come with a friend.  Snacks, childcare and translators will be available.Brown and Yellow graphic reading Real Deals on Home Decor

Prairie Mountain PTO Sign-up

Hello Mountaineers,

I wanted to share a couple things with you all.

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for coming out to our first PTO meeting a couple weeks ago.  It meant so much to me to see all of your faces and to be able to talk to you about all of the amazing things that our PTO does for students and staff here on the Mountain.  I’m excited to move into our Prairie Mountain PTO 2.0 format.  For those that didn’t attend please take a peek at the slide show below for more information about this change.  Also during this meeting, folks who attended filled out a PTO Meeting Time/Date Survey and the results overwhelmingly showed that people would like to have 5:30-6:30pm meetings.  Survey and you shall receive!  Our meetings will now be from 5:30-6:30pm.

We hope that you all can come to our next PTO meeting which is next Tuesday, October 9th, from 5:30-6:30pm in our caforium.  Continue reading
