School year 2012-2013 is now just a memory. The variety of end of the year activities were enjoyed by all. Although the rain re-located our field day activities inside, all events still brought great fun.
As you plan for next fall, remember that the Bethel Health Center can ensure your child is current on immunizations. If you plan on shopping for school supplies over the summer, you’ll find supply lists for all grades on the right column of this page in “Prairie Mtn. Links”.
There are free meals located at many locations throughout the Bethel area. We encourage any family who could benefit from this program to take advantage of this FREE opportunity.
We will look forward to seeing everyone during registration. Please remember that all students must register, including pre-registered and returning students.
Our registration dates are:
- Monday, August 12: 12:07:00
- Tuesday, August 13, 7:00-3:00
- Wednesday, August 14, 12:00-7:00
We hope that all our students and their families have a relaxing summer break.

We have accumulated a huge bumper crop of lost and found clothing! Please check our lost and found tables for jackets, coats, sweatshirts, hoodies and gloves. Lost and found items are conveniently displayed in the elementary entrance hall.
All unclaimed clothing will be donated to charity at the end of the school year.
Elementary students look forward to a Friday morning ritual here at Prairie Mountain; when the Prize Princesses hold classroom drawings for the chance to shop in our prize cart. The prize cart is one of the many ways we offer incentives to students who consistently demonstrate exemplary behavior. Students were surprised today to see the Prize Dudes covering the route.
Mark DeBow and Gabe Combs cycled through the building, happy to acknowledge and reward students who show Prairie Mountain Pride by earning pride cards.
Summertime provides us with us with ample opportunities to enjoy a day at the pool or lake. With that in mind, third grade students received a lesson on water safety from a local lifeguard.
Learning about the critical importance water safety will help our students be smart when playing in water. Topics of discussion included wearing life vests, being with an adult when playing in the water, and using caution when diving.
