PTO Movie Night is Tomorrow!
Bring a blanket or low back chair to sit on and warm blankets. Snacks will also be available for purchase. The movie will start at 7:30 p.m. so feel free to come get settled in a bit earlier.
Hoping for great weather, but we’ll move indoors if there is rain in the forecast!
K-5 Back to School Night and 6-8 Curriculum Night
We have two exciting events coming up. Our K-5 Back to School Night will take place on Tuesday, September 24th from 6:00-7:00pm and our 6-8 Curriculum Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th from 6:00-7:00pm.
At K-5 Back to School Night, parents will have the opportunity to tour the classroom with their child, celebrate current learning and classroom community as well as gain an understanding of what their student will experience this school year. Grade level teams will share more information about the evening with parents soon.
At 6-8 Curriculum Night, parents will walk through a shortened, mock schedule of their child’s day, learn about the curriculum covered in each class, grading, expectations and future learning. This is a great sneak peek into your child’s daily routine as they navigate middle school and prepare for high school and beyond.
Our teachers are excited to share their expertise, plans for the school year and genuine love of teaching. See you soon!
Information About State Tests
Each spring, Oregon students in grades 3-8 and 11 participate in state assessments in English Language Arts and Math. Additionally, students in grades 5, 8 and 11 participate in science testing. Bethel has always had a high participation rate on state assessments as both parents and staff have found value in this “point-in-time” check on the progress of our students and our educational system. However, parents in Oregon have the option to opt their children out of the state assessments. Click here for more information. (PDF)

Bethel siempre ha tenido una alta tasa de participación en las evaluaciones estatales, ya que tanto los padres como el personal han encontrado valor en esta verificación de “punto en el tiempo” sobre el progreso de nuestros estudiantes y nuestro sistema educativo.
