Reopening Meadowview

MV Hybrid Update, Health & Safety, No School Days, Oh My!

Hey Amazing Meadow View Families! Across the district and at MV, Hybrid Instruction is starting! We will begin with bringing Kindergarten back on March 15th. Here are three important items related to the reopening of our Bethel schools.

Hybrid and Distance Learning Schedules: K-5 families will hear from us next week about their child’s schedule, any teacher changes that impact your child and next steps. Meanwhile, the District has set the tentative schedule for all of the Elementary grades to begin Hybrid Instruction (see below). We can’t wait to welcome you back to the building here at Meadow View!

  • March 15 – Kindergarten
  • March 22 – Spring Break
  • March 29 – Grade 1
  • April 5 – Grades 2 and 3
  • April 12 – Grades 4 and 5
  • Grades 6-8 and 9-12 are still being finalized

Health and Safety: We understand that there may be some questions about the health and safety of our students, staff and families with the reopening of our school. THIS VIDEO is geared for our K-5 reopening and will help explain some of the basic COVID protocols we have in place here at Meadow View. Additionally, if you haven’t already had the chance to watch our previous CDL/Hybrid MV Information video, please take a moment to check it out–it’s packed with lots of information regarding staying in CDL or transitioning to Hybrid learning.

Staff Training/No School: Coming back to the classroom can be both an exciting time and an anxiety-producing change for all of us. We are committed to providing the best possible education for all students during these uncertain times. To deliver safe and engaging Hybrid instruction, some specific staff training has to take place across the district.

As a result, there will be some upcoming NO SCHOOL days for specific grades:

  • March 3 (Wed) – K-8 Grading Day – NO SCHOOL for K-8 students
  • March 4 and 5 (Thu/Fri) – K-5 Comprehensive Health and Safety Training – NO SCHOOL for K-5 students
  • March 8 (Mon) – K-3 Hybrid/Bethel Online Instructional Prep – NO SCHOOL for K-3 students
  • April 9 (Fri) – 4-5  Hybrid/Bethel Online Instructional Prep – NO SCHOOL for 4-5 students

Transitioning to Hybrid is new for all of us, and we only have one chance to get it right the first time. Bethel’s success of Hybrid instruction for our Kinder students will undoubtedly influence our ability to bring more grades back to school sooner. Meanwhile, we appreciate everyone doing their part to help mitigate the spread of COVID in our community.

We are looking forward to having school again. We all have realized how important public schooling is for our children. All the social and educational facets of life are greatly missed..8th grade is so vital to a teens development. Thank you for reopening, hopefully soon. The Virde family
