The location of a new school on the Malabon property will be part of the discussion at the Live Design public meeting May 6th.

The location of a new school on the Malabon property will be part of the discussion at the Live Design public meeting May 6th.

It’s time to design a new Malabon and we need your input. The first of three public “Live Design” sessions is Monday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m. here at Malabon.

The Design Team from Soderstrom Architects will engage the Malabon neighborhood community in a discussion about what we want in our new school facilities. The Design Team will present its initial design studies regarding the location of the new Malabon. They will also talk about daylighting, location of play areas, parking and site access issues.

This will be a preliminary meeting to listen to the neighborhood before beginning the actual design of the buildings.  We want these building to be part of the community both in function and design, so your input and involvement in the design process is needed from the outset.

Join us on Monday the 6th for an exciting evening of creative sharing.

Brief Lockdown At Malabon

Malabon was in lockdown for an hour Tuesday morning.

Police were looking for a suspect in the general area and asked that, as a precaution, we not allow students to go outside. There was free movement within our individual buildings and teaching and learning continued.

As always, student safety is very important at Malabon and we believe it is also important to provide updates on events such as this.

If you have any questions or concerns call the school office at 541-461-6421.
