County Moves To Extreme Risk; Hybrid Instruction To Stay In Place

As the COVID rate continues to rise, Lane County will move to the Extreme Risk level.

However, because Bethel schools are already in Hybrid instruction we will be able to continue with the same instruction model.

  • Student cohort schedules will remain the same
  • Bethel schools’ health and safety protocols will continue to be enforced
  • Only essential personnel are permitted in Bethel school buildings

The climbing infection rate in our area may impact other important school-related events, such as graduation ceremonies and attending athletics in-person.

As a community, we can slow the spread of COVID by being vigilant about following the health and safety protocols, and consider getting the vaccine.

I cannot emphasize enough how well Bethel and especially Malabon has responded to this pandemic. I’ve heard some very concerning experiences other parents have had in other schools and districts. It’s been challenging for all of us. A special thanks goes to Ms. Hsieh last year, and Ms. Camarena this year. You have sound policies, and rock star teachers. Much respect.
