Malabon Summer Check In
Family Movie Night in the Park
This Friday night, July 22nd, support a good cause while enjoying a fun night with the kids watching an outdoor movie in Willamette’s Wolverine Stadium.
Willamette’s Leadership students will be showing Despicable Me on a giant screen. It’s just $3 per person or $10 per family, with all the proceeds going to the new memorial garden at Willamette that’s being dedicated to Officer Chris Kilcullen, the WHS grad who was killed in the line of duty.
Bring your blanket or lawn chairs. The movie starts at 9:00 with the gates opening at 8:30, and the weather should be ideal.
Malabon Improvements
Our school was recently cleaned, trimmed, painted and beautified, thanks to members of the Westside Faith Center.
Their “One Day” project focused on Malabon, with close to 100 volunteers rolling up their sleeves to make improvements throughout the school – inside and out. In addition, kids painted pots and planted flowers, delivering them to Malabon’s neighbors. I hope you’ll notice the improvements; we are thankful for the Westside Faith Center’s hard work on our behalf.
I hope your summer is going well and look forward to seeing you again at Registration on August 16th and 17th.
Maureen Spence
Malabon Principal
