Parents, Families, and Friends,
The time has come! Tomorrow we will be holding our annual Irving Jog-a-Thon. You have just a few more hours to collect pledges and donations to support our school. If you are interested in helping out tomorrow, and haven’t responded to previous emails, feel free to show up and volunteer! Now, let’s try to push through all the rain today, so we don’t have to deal with it tomorrow:)

Mr. James: Jog-a-Thon (8 days)
Parents, Families, and Friends,
We are eight days away from the jog-a-thon, and the track is beginning to heat up! Yesterday we had multiple classrooms using their P.E. time to run the track and get ready for the big event.
How Does PTO Support Our Students?
#2- Three years ago PTO purchased 15 laptops for the school. Since then, they have been used for writing, testing, researching, and taking our students to places they would not have reached without them.
Thanks!
~greg
Irving School Report Card
Report Cards For Schools
Due to a change in state rules, we are now able to email our State School Report Cards to you. This will save the school district money, although paper copies will also be available at the Irving school office for those who request a hard copy.
You will see that Irving students continued to make gains in reading and are well above the state average. You may also recall that Oregon recently raised the bar on what kids are expected to learn in math at each grade level. Nevertheless, our students again showed substantial improvement and remain far above the state average.
Not willing to be satisfied with being named an Outstanding School on the state report card, we’ve already been implementing several new programs to further improve student learning in math. These include Math Facts Fluency and Bethel’s teacher-developed Math Core Units.
Click here. Finally, thank you for staying involved in your child’s education. Your active attention and support really makes a difference at each grade level. As always, feel free to email or call me.
