Below you will find news about Irving events and happenings. The last two weeks have been extremely busy but a lot of fun! Hope everyone has a great spring break!
Ace Award Nominations
Congratulations to Irving’s Christy Gill, Judy Chesser, and Elizabeth Radke for being nominated for ACE Awards this year! Thank you for everything you do for students! The awards annually recognize outstanding contributors in four categories: teachers, support staff, volunteers and administrators. Bethel winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Hult Center on April 23rd.
Principal’s Prize Chair
Students at Irving are doing their best to be safe, respectful, and self-managers. When student’s demonstrate one of the school rules they can earn a Tiger Paw. Several students in Mrs. Radke’s class have earned 50 Tiger Paws and got to use my chair for the day! Congratulations to those students for being safe, respectful, and self-managers at Irving!
2nd and 3rd Grade Music Program
Irving’s 2nd and 3rd grade music program was amazing! Thank you to Mrs. Beese for getting students ready for Lighten Up comedy and musical! It was a fun night for students to showcase their singing and joke telling! DVD’s of the performance are available to purchase in the office. Thanks again to our performers, Mrs. Beese, 2nd and 3rd grade teachers, and everyone who helped make Lighten UP special!
5th Grade students from Mrs. Adams class have been helping 1st grade student’s with their reading. It was great to see the positive connections students were making with one another. Each 5th grade student was paired with a first grade student and took turns reading to one another. Irving is proud of our 5th graders for being great role models and helping our first graders excel at reading!
Celebrating the 100th Day of School
First grade students brought in their 100th day of school projects to share with classmates. Students used a variety of materials and made projects with 100 items on them to celbrate the 100th day of school. The projects were very creative! Great job first grade students!
