Clever and ZOOM Meetings Today (1/14/21)

This morning, we had a few teachers who were unable to access their morning classes due to a challenge with the Clever Portal that we run our ZOOM application through. Teachers who were unable to access their classes posted information to families through their Seesaw and Google Classroom accounts.

At this time, it appears as though the Clever issues have been resolved and our staff are able to access their classes.

Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher through email or Seesaw/Google Classroom if you have questions.

Thank you for your patience as we navigated this problem.

Meal Service

Just a reminder that our Nutrition Services program provides meals for students age 2-18 every Tuesday and Friday between 11am and 1pm at Danebo. Meals are also provided at other school sites and families can access meals at whichever school is closest to their home.

When you pick up meals, you will receive breakfast and lunch items to carry you through to the next meal service.

Stop by Danebo on Tuesdays and Fridays between 11 am and 1 pm to say hello and pick up meals!

Bethel School Board Seeks Interim Appointment

A resignation has created an open position on the Bethel School Board of Directors. Those interested in serving on the Board through June 2021 must have their application in to the District Office by noon, January 25, 2021.

Position #2 was declared vacant with the resignation of Board member Dawnja Johnson, who stepped down for personal reasons. Along with her School Board service, Dawnja has been a longtime active and engaged Bethel parent through PTO leadership, volunteering for school Band and Robotics competitions, as a founding member of the Bethel Education Foundation, and the Executive Director of the BEF.

Those interested in applying to complete the remainder of Dawnja Johnson’s term should click here for the online application. A paper version of the application is available at the Bethel School District office, 4640 Barger Drive, Eugene, OR 97402.

In order to be eligible to serve as a Bethel School Board Director candidates must be a registered voter and have resided in the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.

A Special Board Meeting will be held on January 28 during which candidates will be interviewed.

The full 4-year term of Board Position #2 will be up for general election in May of 2021.
