Kidsports Vouchers Available

We are pleased to announce that Kidsports has made 20 vouchers available to students who are on the free/reduced lunch program at Danebo. These vouchers are made possible by this year’s sponsor, Zip-O-Logs Mills, Inc. and Pacific Continental Bank. We currently have 16 left and will take requests for vouchers. A voucher has a maximum cash value that does not necessarily cover the entire tuition fee for some sports programs. Please contact Kidsports directly to inquire about tuition costs for various sports programs at 541-683-2374. Contact the office at 541-688-8735 or stop by to request a voucher. Thank you.

Canned Food Drive and Competition

Danebo's Canned Food Graph in the front office

Thanks to all families who contributed to our holiday canned food drive.  We will use all items in our December holiday food boxes and know that your contribution will help to make the holidays even better!  The 2nd grade brought in the most items and has earned a movie/popcorn party!

We appreciate your response and generosity for the canned food drive. It’s always great to demonstrate one of Danebo’s core virtues: GIVING. Thank you for your support!

PTO Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Thanks to those of you who participated in the PTO Cookie Dough fundraiser.  Orders were due yesterday (Nov. 14th) and will need to be picked up at Danebo in the cafeteria on Monday, November 21st, between 2:30 and 6:00.  Funds raised from the Cookie Dough sale will go towards grade level field trips and school-wide assemblies.  Thanks for your support.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Thanks for your participation at Parent-Teacher conferences last week.  We had a good turn-out (some classes had 100% participation from parents) and our Book Fair was a success as well.  If you were unable to attend your child’s conference, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a time to meet or visit over the phone.  Maintaining that home-to-school communication is such a vital piece of your child’s education.

Mrs. Yarbro Selected for Another Grant

Stacie Yarbro, Danebo's Music Teacher

Congratulations to Stacie Yarbro, Danebo’s music teacher, for her efforts in writing a grant to the Oregon Community Foundation.  Mrs. Yarbro’s grant was selected to be funded, which means that she will be able to purchase 17 ukeleles and methods books to go along with the instruments.  As a result, Danebo students just might be able to “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” sometime very soon! Thanks to Mrs. Yarbro for her numerous grant applications that have brought our school many beautiful musical instruments.
