Upcoming Events at Danebo

We are in the swing of things here at Danebo and we have several important events coming up:

  • Wednesday, 9/25, Health Screening (Volunteers needed, 8:30-12:00)
  • Friday, 9/27, PTO Jog-a-thon (Volunteers needed, 8:30-2:30)
  • Wednesday, 10/2, Walk & Bike to School Day (Volunteers needed, 7:50am-9:00 am)
  • Thursday, 10/3, Picture Day

If you have time to spare and would like to volunteer at any of the events above, please contact Krisia in our office (541-688-8735). Volunteers need to have an approved volunteer application on file (good for 5 years).

We are in need of volunteers to count laps, cheer students on, work the water table, and write out lap completion notes for Friday’s jog-a-thon. Click here for the schedule of classes and if you can help out, please contact the office.

Speaking of PTO…

We had an amazing turn-out for our first PTO meeting last week and we can hardly wait to see all of the great things that our parents will take on this year!

Click here to read the notes from the meeting and please plan to join us next month on Tuesday, October 15th, at 6:30 pm in our library. Childcare is provided and we will have snacks and a raffle for a gift card! More importantly, we’d love to hear your voice on upcoming activities, so please join us!

Trimming the Ivy

Thank you to Mr. Peck and students in Mr. Smith’s class for their work last week on the ivy around our school.

Mr. Peck noticed that it was “getting out of hand” and spent time before and after school trimming the ivy bushes. On Friday afternoon, students from Mr. Smith’s class cleaned up the ivy trimmings, making our courtyard and entrances look so much better!

Thanks to the students and staff for their teamwork!
