I'm sure many of you know who Colby Ray Tanner Casto is. Well, the most funniest kid in the world. I met Colby last year, we were in 6th grade together. He made that 6th grade year very long to. But he made it a GOOD year too. He put smiles on every ones faces. I wasn't there to see him in 7th grade much though. I ended up moving and in the beginning of the 7th grade year i went to John F. Kennedy Middle School. On November 4, 2011 I was walking to school and everything seemed normal. All of the sudden I get a text from my friend saying " Brooke i think that you should just turn around and just go back home" I thought well who knows i am pretty sure every things okay. But then my sisters friend texted me and said "Brooke Colby is dead" at that point i knew that it was time to run to school or go home. I decided to be strong and keep going ahead. I honestly didn't think that it was true that he was actually.... gone. But I went to 1st period as usual as my phone was being "blown up" with text messages. I was kind of confused at first. At 2nd period i got called to the office and my sister Tianna was crying really hard. My counsler Mrs.Michelle told me about every thing. A officer had reported to her that Colby Casto had been pronounced dead. I didn't know what to think. All what was going around in my mind at that moment is this is just a dream. This is not true. But it was. We all take death differently. Even though you dont think about i much.... He taught us a big life lesson. Don't take life for granted, you could lose everything in a blink of an eye.

Our son Corey attends Kalapuya High School at the present, after attending Bethel public schools his entire schooling career. I have never gotten a chance to personally meet Mr Crisman but have pleasantly spoken with him on the phone.

My son Corey always spoke very highly of this gentleman and it also appears a few more do also.

I have no reason to doubt our son Corey or Superintendent Colt Gill's letter about Mr Crisman. He is a stand up man and listens to parents and their children's concerns when issues arise, and is very quick to resolve any issues or concerns we parents in the Bethel School District might have.

I will be looking forward to my son's graduation from Kalapuya and shaking the hands of those who contributed to our son Corey's success with the beginning of his schooling and onto adulthood.

I would also like to ad for what it is worth, we have met lots of kids, parents, teachers, family, and community leaders in Eugene. This district has its issues, like most, but they can always be ironed out!
