Last Week & This Week at Clear Lake
Last Thursday morning on the half-day, students were mixed and moved into each of our nine homerooms to make classes of K-5 graders in each “Buddy” classroom. Reminiscent of the old days where schools had one room of K-5 or K-8 students, the classes met for 45 minutes to get to know one another and work on a craft project together. It’s the second Buddy Class meeting we’ve had this year, and we’re trying to do one each month. It’s a great way to build community, make new friends, and allow the “olders” to help the “youngers.”
COIN DRIVE For Greenhill Humane Society
Starting Tuesday the 11th, each homeroom at Clear Lake will have their Coin Drive container ready to collect coins and currency in our 11-day Greenhill Coin Drive. We did the same last year and raised a total of $435. As Winter approaches, there are many animals who are in need of rescue, shelter, food- and Greenhill is a great support in our community for animals of all kinds. Please consider asking friends, co-workers, and family to donate coins and currency to our effort.
