Thank a School Nurse!
Yes, we are in the middle of Teacher Appreciation Week, but there is another Licensed School Professional that also deserves our praise. Today is National School Nurses Day!
Today’s school nurses go well beyond caring for the occasional playground bruise or scrape. Our nurses dispense complicated prescription medication to medically fragile students. They are part of teams that design education programs for medically impacted students. They are an important part of our emergency response system and are first on the scene when we have medical emergencies. They track medical conditions, medication, and immunizations. They work with partners to provide medical insurance and dental and medical care.
In Bethel our nurses go above and beyond. They write grants, seek donations, and dream big…the results: The Bethel Health Center located at Cascade Middle School! Their mission is to keep our kids healthy so that they can learn and thrive!
Thank you Annemarie Hirsch and Sherine Forrest!

Bethel Schools Open Today, March 1
Bethel Schools are open on time this morning. Main roads are pretty clear, but be aware as temperatures fluctuate in different areas. Watch for icy spots on overpasses and less traveled roads and parking lots.
As always, you determine what is safe for your family and local conditions. Drive safely and give yourself extra time to get to work or school.
