100% Club Students Head to the Ball Park!
Congratulations to our 100% Club students! These students completed 100% of their work for the 3rd quarter in all of their classes. To celebrate, we are inviting them on a field trip to PK Park in Eugene to see the University of Oregon Baseball team take on San Francisco tomorrow, April 10th from 11:00 a.m.-2:15 p.m. This trip is completely FREE for all 100% Club students!
Students attending the trip will be dismissed for lunch at 11:00 a.m. and leave at 11:15 a.m. on district busses for the game. We will head back to Cascade at 1:30 p.m. All students will be dismissed at regular dismissal time, and those who take the bus home will be able to do so.
In order to attend, students must submit a signed permission slip to their Homeroom teacher tomorrow (Tuesday, April 10th). Please click HERE to print a copy of the permission slip if needed.
Spring…Break Comes Early
This just in from the KCMS Newsroom!!!!!

- SPIRIT WEEK RESCHEDULED! The snow won’t mess with our Cougar Pride…Spirit week will continue from April 9th-April 12th. Hall decorating will take place during non-instruction times that week and judging after 7:50 a.m. on Thursday 4/12. Our Fear Factor Assembly will be 10:40-11:20. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:22.
- 4/9: Twin Day
- 4/10: College Day
- 4/11: Career Day (Dress for Success)
- 4/12: Colors Day (6-green, 7-yellow, 8-white)
- Once again, students who dress up and check in with Mrs. Hamilton Mon-Wed will earn a piece of gum on Thursday and the privilege to chew on Thursday.
- 8th grade t-shirts are still available for sale in the main office for $12. Get yours before they run out!
- 6th Grade Students and Parents - The Science Fair has been cancelled, and we have lots of great plans in the mind to share your hard work in the halls, during conferences, on our website, and on the KCMS News! More information will be available on this site after break.
- Parents – Please be sure to email Carol Hein (click here) to schedule a spring conference for either April 11thor 12th.
- On Tuesday, April 10th we have the opportunity to take students who earn a place in the 3rd Quarter 100% Club (have all of their homework and class work complete for the quarter) to a University of Oregon baseball game! Invitations will be distributed after break. Be sure to complete all work so you get one!

Due to the snow days, we will be using email to get as many conferences scheduled as possible before returning from break. Please email Carol Hein a conference request (see below). Upon receiving your email, she will schedule your two conferences and reply with an appointment time. The teachers’ availability will be limited due to times and scheduling. We will try to accommodate your top two choices. Conference forms will also be available in hard copy after break.
