Kalapuya Sets Graduation Record
The largest graduating class in school history was celebrated at the Kalapuya High School commencement.
50 students received their diplomas, with most overcoming significant obstacles along the way.
Nearly all the graduates were not successful in a traditional comprehensive high school, but the smaller and more individualized instruction at Kalapuya worked for them.
The ceremony took time for staff to talk about each grad individually. Principal Stefan Aumack also gave special recognition to retiring Board member Ginger Poage for her 36 years on the Bethel School Board.
