Preparing For Emergencies

Free 3 gallon water jugs will be given away at the Bethel Farm during Saturday’s grand opening of the community’s first Emergency Water Station.

Bethel School District and EWEB are partnering on an Emergency Water Station to provide water to the community during an emergency or disaster.

You can receive a free 3-gallon water jug at the grand opening of the water station this Saturday, October 6th, 11:00-1:00 at the Bethel Farm (located behind Prairie Mountain School.)

The water station is the first of at least five that EWEB plans to build throughout the community to supply water during an emergency that disrupts water service.

The established well at the Farm has received a new pump and will soon have a back-up generator to power the pump in case of an electricity outage.

Along with the free water jugs, Saturday’s grand opening will also include a free raffle for prizes and information on how to prepare for potential emergencies.
