From Class To Career

Willamette students Dylan Alexander, Edward Flores and Colin Longstreet join teacher Kate Doyle as LTD rolls out their Safe Routes ads on local buses.

Real world work is being produced in Willamette High School’s Advanced Design class.

Four WHS students’ designs are on LTD buses, further proof that teacher Kate Doyle is helping students build professional portfolios for careers in graphic design.

The Way You Move was a themed art competition from Safe Routes to School, encouraging the use of public transit, bicycling, and walking as travel options to school.

The competition became part of an assignment in Wil-Hi’s Advanced Design class, and four of the five winning entries came from that class.

Designs by Dylan Alexander, Edward Flores, Colin Longstreet and Jake Muller are now rolling down the road on the backs of LTD buses.
