MLK Day Of Service At WHS

Willamette students, staff and volunteers worked on a campus beautification project during the Day of Service on MLK Day.

Willamette High School students, staff, and volunteers took part in a Day of Service on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.

Students from the National Honor Society and the Rotary Interact Club worked on a beautification project in the cold weather, clearing garden beds and spreading new bark around WHS.

Each year volunteers respond to MLK’s sermon published in 1963: Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’

For the last several years WHS students have taken part in Day of Service projects around campus on MLK Day, starting a tradition of giving back to the school community.
