Thanks From Parents Of Irving Second Grader

Efforts underway will keep Jesse Hernandez's memory alive at Irving Elementary.

Irving second grader Jesse Hernandez passed away on May 31st after undergoing emergency surgery. His death was a tremendously sad shock to the Irving community and beyond, as Jesse’s mother Holly also teaches at Cascade Middle School.

Holly and Greg Hernandez would like to share this letter to Bethel families.

Irving is seeking to honor Jesse through book donations to the Relief Nursery. A tremendous number of books have already been given in Jesse’s name.

The school also plans to dedicate one of its garden beds in Jesse’s memory, filling it with colorful plants and flowers and an 8 year old tree.

Contact Irving principal Greg James about making book donations or donations to the garden.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Jesse well from the after school club. He was a sweet boy. My daughter will be very saddened to hear this.
    Peace to you.
